The weeklong Deccan Odyssey tour includes several exotic destinations covering the vast expanse of Maharashtra and a pinch of Goa - Mumbai, Ganpatipule, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Goa, Pune, Aurangabad, Ajanta and Ellora.

Coaches :
The Deccan Odyssey has 21 coaches out of which 11 are passenger cars with 4 coupes each. There are 2 Presidential Suite Cars with 2 coupes each car. The train also has a conference car (can be redesigned as dance floor in the night) and two restaurant cars. There is also a lounge/bar car and one surprising addition is a Spa Car. Apart from the above there are generator cars with luggage store and staff car or spare car.

10% Surcharge shall be levied on departure during Christmas/New Year.

Any leg of minimum of 2 nights subject to availability will be given at the above-mentioned rates. Thus Mumbai-Goa (2 nights) checkout at Goa after breakfast and Goa-Mumbai (5 nights) sector will be sold as available segments to clients.

If the client undertakes the day sightseeing programme at Goa & Mumbai, an extra $ 130 USD per person plus applicable service tax will be charged. This charge includes car, guide, entrance fees, and lunch deluxe restaurant.

Service Tax @ of 2.58% is applicable on the gross ticket value of the Deccan Odyssey tours commencing from September 2009.

This tax is also applicable on day programme at Mumbai & Goa.

Tariff is inclusive of travel/catering/conducted sight-seeing/ entrance fee at Monuments/Parks/Palaces/Cultural Programmes/ Boat Ride. The guest has to pay for video cameras, liquor, laundry and other items of personal nature.

Note : 10% Surcharge shall be levied on departure during Christmas/New Year.

Passenger reservations/cancellation on the Deccan Odyssey can be done as per the following terms and conditions :

BOOKING
(i) 20% of ticket value at the time of booking (ii) 80% of ticket value 30 days before departure of the tour

Cancellation
(i) Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Fax/E-mail & subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division at Head Office, Mumbai.

(ii) Value of Ticket to be retained by MTDC on cancellation will be as follows:
a) 5% of ticket value 60 days prior to the departure.
b) 20% of Ticket Value 30-59 days prior to the departure.
c) 50% of ticket value 15-29 days prior to the departure.
d) 100% of ticket value 14 or less days prior to the departure.

(iii) No refund or adjustment will be made in the event of interruption of journey by a tourist on his own after the commencement of the tour.

EXCLUSIVE CHARTERS Companies can organise a “Business-Cum-Pleasure” trip by chartering the truly luxurious The Deccan Odyssey for their conference.

Varies from 8^oC to 30^oCbetween September to March and in April it is from 26^o C to 35^oC.

MEALS
The two restaurant cars, serve a range of Indian, Continental, Maharashtrian, Goan and Chinese cuisines. Menus are changed seasonally
